As a Practice we aim to provide a full range of medical services

The Practice is actively involved in promoting a healthy lifestyle. For our records we will ask you to complete a questionnaire when you register. You may make an appointment with one our Practice nurses for a well woman/man health check when you register, this is so we can get to know you before you need our services.

Please ask at reception for details on any of the following:

Antenatal Care - All partners provide full antenatal and postnatal care in normal Surgery hours.  The Community Midwife attends the Surgery on Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning and may be contacted at other times by leaving a message at the Surgery.

Asthma Care

Childhood Immunisation

Community Nurses - The Community Nurses are attached to the Practice. They provide a wide range of nursing care, treatment and support to housebound patients and their relatives. Referral may be made either through your doctor or by leaving a message at the Surgery.

Coronary Heart Disease - surveillance and follow up

Counselling

Diabetes Care

Electrocardiograms

Family planning - including Coil fitting and Cervical Smears

Medical examinations including:
* Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) and Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence
* Hackney Carriage and Boat Operators licence
* BSAC and PADI diving medicals
* Occupational Health examinations and reports
* Adoption and Fostering examinations
* Camp America medicals

A fee is payable for all Medical Examinations, please ask at reception for details.

Minor Surgery

Phlebotomy

Smoking Cessation - Our Smoking Cessation Advisors are available for advice, nicotine replacement therapy and encouragement. For additional information click here to access the NHS Smokefree website.

Both our Surgeries are staffed full time by highly qualified Practice Nurses, who work with us to provide many of the above services. In addition, at Beaumont Villa Surgery, we employ three trained Healthcare Assistants who perform phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (ECG) and audiograms (hearing tests).
