Mental Health

At Beaumont Villa, we strongly believe that everyone needs somebody they can talk to in confidence and feel they have been listened too. To enhance patient services, we now have a specialist Mental Health Practitioner called Jane who works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Mornings and Thursdays covering both sites.

Jane is an amazing member of staff and can give advice regarding any Mental Health issues you may have. This role ensures there is someone available for you to discuss ideas concerns and expectations.

Jane will offer an initial telephone appointment and will have a chat with you over the phone. She will then book you in for an extended appointment in order for her to get to know you and gather a more detailed history with follow up appointment s as agreed. Jane can also refer or sign post to other agencies or services as appropriate.

If Jane’s clinics are full or she is absent, and you need to speak to someone or book an appointment regarding mental health, then please call us and we will try our up-most to get a doctor to call you back as soon as they are able to do so!

You are also able to self-refer yourselves to Plymouth Options using the self-referral form.

If you think you may be low mood or depressed, they take the NHS Choices self-assessments to help you.
